NMAAHC & Spencer Flowers
Workshop postponed due to gov. shutdown
Eaton Wellness in Eaton DC (1207 K st, NW, Washington, DC)
In collaboration with the Black Flower Market, Tony McPherson and the Museum of African American History and Culture are hosting a free, in-person workshop that combines poetry and floral arrangement. Anne Spencer often wrote poetry in her garden cottage studio, and we’ll be harnessing that emerges when poetry and botanicals come together.

NMAAHC - Solstice Reset
December 21th, 12:00 to 1:00pm Eastern
This workshop will take place on the winter solstice. We’ll explore resetting and aligning our poetry with the celestial movements around us. Together, we’ll capture the magic of writing about the solstice during the solstice itself. We'll focus on being present and intentionally resetting in preparation for the year ahead. This authentic, in-the-moment solstice energy comes only once a year. Join us as we write within it. (More details to come & tickets will be available soon!)
*Those who reserved their free tickets will receive the zoom link the day before the workshop.
