NMAAHC - At the Vanguard: Making & Saving Poetry
March 25th, 6:30pm to 8:00pm
FREE Online workshop
Join us in uplifting the exhibition, At the Vanguard: Making and Saving History at HBCUs as we explore its central themes together. Participants are invited to revel in the vibrant energy of HBCU life in science, literature, and the arts; and transform that spirit into poetry that commemorates the HBCU experience.
Through interactive activities and a discussion with Museum Curator Tulani Salahu-Din, attendees will reflect on and preserve their own cultural understanding through poetic expression.
*Those who reserved their free tickets will receive the zoom link the day before the workshop.
NMAAHC - Solstice Reset
Workshop postponed due to gov. shutdown
This workshop will take place on the winter solstice. We’ll explore resetting and aligning our poetry with the celestial movements around us. Together, we’ll capture the magic of writing about the solstice during the solstice itself. We'll focus on being present and intentionally resetting in preparation for the year ahead. This authentic, in-the-moment solstice energy comes only once a year. Join us as we write within it. (More details to come & tickets will be available soon!)
*Those who reserved their free tickets will receive the zoom link the day before the workshop.
